Aga Platos, business support administrator

I joined PAHT in May 2022 as business support administrator for estates and facilities.

Although my starting date was delayed due to me falling ill with Covid, everyone was really reassuring and helpful with rearrangements. After a few days, I met my team. There is a lot to learn, as I am new to the working of the hospital, but I am happy to start my new journey.

I have attended two induction days which I loved. They were very engaging and well managed by the Learning and Education Centre team. There were speakers representing all hospital departments and I’ve met many people from all corners of the world and made some new friends. A couple of weeks later, I attended the new starter forum where we met all the executive and non-executive directors of the hospital. We had a speedy chit-chat with each of them asking all sorts of questions – funny and serious, we had lunch and lots of activities, engaging us all.

I met my new friends again and caught up with how they are settling in. It was a really fun day full of laughter.

Now I’m back to the office and going through a lot of training and team calls to learn about many aspects of my work. It is all very interesting.

I am looking forward to my adventure at PAHT and wish all the new starters well too.

Inpatient comment:

Everyone offered words of such reassurance and kindness. I felt so cared for and the communication with me at all times was fantastic.
