Welcome to our interim finance director
We have appointed a new interim finance director, Tom Burton.
Tom joins us on 30 May, from a secondment role as operational director of finance for the regional NHS England and NHS Improvement team.
He was previously the strategic planning director for the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
Tom began his career as a mechanical engineer, before becoming an accountant. He joined the NHS in 2009 from local government, where he qualified as a public sector accountant (CIPFA). His experience includes financial management roles at organisations including Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust, Barts Health NHS Trust and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Tom said: “It is great to be joining PAHT, making a difference for our patients and people by leading our financial services.
“I am delighted to be starting my role at this exciting time as we work towards a modern, integrated hospital for the future.”
