Patient Panel seeks views from the community on services and care at local hospital

The Patient Panel at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) are meeting with the local community to seek their views on the services and care provided at The Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow; St Margaret’s Hospital, Epping; and Herts and Essex Hospital, Bishop’s Stortford.
The award-winning Patient Panel are a group of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to represent the voice of patients who use PAHT’s services, with the aim to improve experiences for patients in the future.
Ann Nutt, chair of the Patient Panel at PAHT, said: “On Friday 18 October, the Patient Panel will be gathering outside the Superdrug store in the Harvey Centre (Harlow) and on Thursday 28 November, we will be in Jackson Square (Bishop’s Stortford), both from 10am-2pm.
“We hope to engage with shoppers passing by, who represent a diverse cross-section of people, to understand what we are doing well, what matters most to our patients and how we can improve further.”
Sharon McNally, interim chief executive at PAHT, said: “Thank you to our Patient Panel for taking the time to hear the voices of our local community.
“The panel ran a similar exercise in July (2024) and we were pleased to receive a high volume of praise about the services we provide and valuable insights into areas for improvement that are helping us to shape our services further.
“The panel will also share new feedback from this exercise at a forward planning meeting with key leads across the NHS and wider stakeholders.
“Please take the time to share your thoughts.”
