Hospital recognises its people with spectacular event

We held our spectacular annual event to recognise and develop our people from 14-16 September.

Colleagues were invited to a series of socially distanced sessions to help them develop, celebrate with colleagues, and learn about PAHT and our plans for the future.

The three day programme – named Event in a tent – is the highlight of the annual calendar at PAHT and was held in a marquee at The Princess Alexandra Hospital site.

Key highlights of the three days included the Long Service Awards and Our Amazing People Awards, to celebrate the amazing #PAHTpeople who make a difference every day. There was also the opportunity to hear about health and wellbeing topics including the psychological support available and emotional resilience; how to work together best to facilitate learning and growth; and how colleagues can get involved in supporting equality, diversity and inclusion. Teams also took to the stage to share their proudest moments and celebrate their successes.

Ogechi Emeadi, director of people, organisational development and communications, said: “It was fantastic to celebrate the dedication of our people with a variety of excellent sessions, available in person and online.

“It has been great to hear the positive feedback of how helpful our people found the sessions and the impact of seeing their achievements in the spotlight.

“Thank you to everyone involved – we are already looking forward to next year’s event.”

Inpatient comment:

Everyone offered words of such reassurance and kindness. I felt so cared for and the communication with me at all times was fantastic.
