Hospital recognised for high quality work experience opportunities

We have received an accolade in recognition of the high-quality work experience opportunities we provide.
NHS England has accredited PAHT with the Gold Award for the Work Experience Quality Standard.
Particular strengths noted by the assessors included a focus on equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), bespoke work experience placements, and further development opportunities for participants. This will be in place for the next two years before re-assessment.
Giovanna Leeks, interim chief people officer, said: “This is a fantastic achievement that is testament to our commitment to learning, developing people and supporting our community.
“Thank you to all involved in the programme, from our learning and organisational development team to colleagues across our wards and departments who support with full and varied work experience programmes.”
Thom Lafferty, chief executive, added: “We are proud of our role as an anchor institution for Harlow and the surrounding areas and we recognise the significant value of engaging with our communities to develop their careers.
“We are focused on continuing to expand on this work as a large local employer which provides opportunities across a variety of career pathways. Congratulations to the learning and organisational development team and to every team who has supported our work experience placements.”
