Hospital invites local people to hear about achievements and future plans

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) is inviting members of the public to join its Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The AGM is an opportunity to reflect on challenges and achievements of the last year and goals for the future. There will also be the opportunity to hear insights from clinical teams about what managing the impact of COVID-19 meant for them and the people that they care for.

The AGM will be held on Monday 26 September at 12pm for a light lunch before the meeting starts at 12:30pm and concludes at 2pm. The AGM will take place in Learning and Education Centre, next to the main entrance of the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Lance McCarthy, chief executive of The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust, said: “Local people, patients, staff and representatives are invited to join our AGM to hear more about our commitment to providing high quality care and experiences for our patients.

“During the AGM we will take people through our operational, clinical and financial performance, set out our significant service improvements and outline where further improvements are required.

“Please come along and find out more, it is your chance to ask us any questions you may have and share what matters to you about your local hospital. We look forward to welcoming you to our event.”

Inpatient comment:

Everyone offered words of such reassurance and kindness. I felt so cared for and the communication with me at all times was fantastic.
