Harlow Council and Harlow Playhouse kindly donated festive treats for our dedicated Emergency Department team on Christmas Eve.

 

Harlow Council and Harlow Playhouse kindly donated festive treats for our dedicated Emergency Department team on Christmas Eve.

Councillor Clive Souter, chair of Harlow Council (pictured, second from right, with the Emergency Department team, and Sharon McNally, director of nursing, midwifery and Allied Health Professionals, far right), visited with his wife Mrs Stephanie Souter, other members of the Harlow Council team, and Rory Davies from Harlow Playhouse(pictured, far left).

The gifts included sweet and savoury treats such as biscuits, crisps and fruit as a thank you for those who were working over the festive period.

The hampers were put together and funded by council staff. The Playhouse also collected items at the theatre.

Dawn Power, emergency department matron, said: "We were delighted to receive these lovely gifts for our teams over Christmas.

"We are very grateful to Harlow Council and Harlow Playhouse for thinking of us."

Clive Souter, chair of Harlow Council said: "The emergency department look after our residents all year round, and when many of us are resting over the Christmas and new year, our hospital staff keep going.

The staff and care have been excellent. They have made sure I have felt comfortable, secure and safe. They are wonderful and exemplary in their commitment.
