The dedicated team at the Willow pub in Harlow organised a day of fun to support The Princess Alexandra Hospital Charity, raising over £800.

The Rock’In Rainbow event, held on the 25 September, featured a mixture of live pop, rock, and indie music from local bands Moonshine Coyote, Bombshell, and Afterlife.

Events during the day included face painting, a barbecue, and a raffle to win exciting prizes, including a hamper and a Tottenham Hotspur football shirt.

David Mee, general manager of The Willow, said: “We decided to fundraise for the hospital in thanks for all of their hard work and dedication during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We’re a community pub and we wanted to support our local hospital.”

Gary Taylor, head of charity at The Princess Alexandra Hospital, said: “A huge thank you to the staff at the Willow, the bands that performed, and everybody involved with this day of fundraising.

“We are grateful to see so much support for our charity, our people, and the NHS.”

Everyone offered words of such reassurance and kindness. I felt so cared for and the communication with me at all times was fantastic.
