Children's emergency department currently very busy
Our children’s emergency department is currently very busy. We ask that only one parent/carer attends with their child to avoid overcrowding.
The space within the department is very limited and must be prioritised to care for children with serious or life-threatening illnesses or injuries that need immediate medical attention.
If your child does not have a serious or life-threatening illness or injury, please consider using the alternative services below:
- Call NHS 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk for advice and guidance
- Contact your GP surgery
- Visit a pharmacy
