Changes to GP X-ray walk-in requests at The Princess Alexandra Hospital

In an effort to manage increased demand for X-rays at The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) in Harlow, we will be temporarily changing the times that people can attend the main hospital site for X-rays requested by GPs, except if they have had an injury to the pelvis and/or spine.

From Monday (20 January) the radiology department at PAH will only accept walk-in X-ray requests from GPs between 8am and 12noon (Monday to Friday).

There are alternative locations for people to have walk-in X-rays requested by GPs at St Margaret’s Community Hospital in Epping and the Herts and Essex Community Hospital in Bishop’s Stortford.

The table below details the opening times for walk-in X-ray requests from GPs at the three locations:

Inpatient comment:

Everyone offered words of such reassurance and kindness. I felt so cared for and the communication with me at all times was fantastic.
