Chaplaincy

Chaplain

Our chaplaincy provides spiritual care to our patients, families, and staff from all faith backgrounds or from none, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

They are here for you, your family and relatives, offering advice, prayer and religious services on the wards, at your bedside and in our chapel. They will work with your care team to ensure that you receive the best quality, all-encompassing care.

How can they help you?

They are here to support you, to listen and to talk to you about:

  • worries on admission
  • dealing with difficult news
  • before or after surgery
  • questions about the meaning of life
  • anything and everything you have on your mind

You can request the chaplaincy services by asking a member of your healthcare team to contact us. Alternatively you can contact us on 01279 973407/3183 or email paht.chaplaincy@nhs.net.

Inpatient comment:

Everyone offered words of such reassurance and kindness. I felt so cared for and the communication with me at all times was fantastic.
