Responses from clinicians and support staff from teams based at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, St Margaret’s Hospital in Epping and Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop’s Stortford also show an improvement in staff being happy with the quality of care they give to patients and being able to provide the care they aspire to.
Ogechi Emeadi, director of people at The Princess Alexandra NHS Hospital Trust said: “Patient care is at the centre of all that we do and it is great to know that staff feel recognised and able to do their jobs to a standard they are proud of.
“Our people continue to meet ever growing demands on them and the care they provide and the survey not only shows us their sense of achievement, it also highlights areas where we need to focus and continue to improve.”
Areas highlighted by staff for improvement include sharing patient feedback to inform decisions and acting on their concerns and the impact on the health and wellbeing of staff who feel they need to come to work when not feeling well.
Ogechi added: “We are proud of our people, the high quality care they provide and the difference they make to our patients. We thank them for their continued hard work and commitment.
“We continue to work together with our people to make PAHT an even better place to work and to receive care.”
