A new blood testing facility has opened in Harlow town centre today (27 April 2026), making it easier for local people to access care.
The clinic, located on the first floor of The Harvey Centre (opposite Cineworld), offers a convenient town centre location so patients can attend appointments as part of their daily routines, with good transport links and nearby parking.
The purpose-built space has been designed with patient care, comfort, privacy and a smooth experience in mind. It will support around 300 patients a day who currently attend The Princess Alexandra Hospital and will be delivered by the same experienced phlebotomy team (Health Services Laboratories), maintaining high standards and safety of care.
Blood testing services will continue at St Margaret’s Hospital in Epping and Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop’s Stortford. A limited service will remain at The Princess Alexandra Hospital’s main site for children under one year old and patients requiring specialist tests, with booking explained via their clinician.
The new clinic gives patients more choice on where to have their blood tests, offering a quicker, more convenient option closer to home while helping to reduce pressure at The Princess Alexandra Hospital’s site.
