In September 2025 the Children’s Emergency Department (ED) was temporarily relocated whilst essential works are carried out in Children’s ED.
All children/young people arriving at the hospital seeking assistance from the Children’s ED should first make their way to the main entrance of the main ED – located on the left at you approach the main entrance.
Here they will be triaged and signposted to the most appropriate pathway of care.
If they are signposted to Children’s ED ,the entrance is located to the right of the revolving doors at the main hospital entrance.
The route to the main ED and Children’s ED are clearly signposted, and staff will be available to support patients and the public in navigating to the locations.
Important: Due to the reduced space, we kindly ask that only one parent/caregiver attends the Children’s ED to avoid overcrowding.
