We are inviting local residents, patients and partners to a public meeting exploring how we will transform healthcare for the community as part of our new Rise strategy.
The event, hosted by the PAHT Patient Panel, will take place on Thursday 25 June from 6pm-8pm at Harlow Civic Centre.
Attendance is free and the meeting will give the public the opportunity to hear more about how we plan to improve care, support staff and work more closely with partners and communities over the next five years.
Attendees will hear from Thom Lafferty, Chief Executive, and members of the executive team about the three core elements of Rise – Recover, Renew and Rise and how these will shape our future direction.
Topics will include:
- Improving services: How delivering Rise will help – in real terms – with issues such as discharge and freeing up hospital capacity to reduce delays or cancellations.
- New Hospital Programme and neighbourhood health centres: Learn how plans for a new hospital and neighbourhood health centres will help bring more modern, joined-up care closer to home while supporting the future health needs of communities.
- A digital way forward: Sharing the benefits of the My Alex Health Patient Portal and the approach to clinical correspondence, with digital innovation supporting enhanced patient care and experiences.
After the presentations, members of the public will be invited to take part in a discussion and Q&A with our executive team. Previous public meetings hosted by the PAHT Patient Panel in Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford and Epping have helped shape future priorities by giving local people the chance to raise important issues and share their views directly with senior leaders.
