Our chaplaincy team, together with Rabbi Irit Shillor from the Harlow Jewish Community and our people from across the hospital met in the chapel on site to hear readings and reflect together (pictured).
For many of our people, this also follows attending the service held at Harlow Civic Centre on Sunday (26 January).
This year marks 75 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau and the theme for this year is ‘stand together’.
Reverend Christian Okeke, hospital lead chaplain, said: “We were honoured to work with our colleagues from the hospital and community to hold this special service for Holocaust Memorial Day.
“It was a poignant service that gave us an opportunity to join together to reflect on this year’s theme of ‘stand together’- thank you to everyone involved.”
