The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) is proud to announce that the Alex Health communications team has been shortlisted for the NHS Communications Initiative of the Year Award at the prestigious 2025 HSJ Awards (Health Service Journal).
This is the second awards shortlisting for the Alex Health communications team, who have also been shortlisted for Best Internal Communications Campaign for the CommsHero Awards 2025.
Both awards shortlistings recognise Jill Hogan and Becky Gill of the Alex Health communications team, along with the collaboration of teams across the Trust, for their exceptional work and innovation on the communications and engagement campaign. This played a pivotal role in the successful rollout of Alex Health, the Trust’s new electronic health record (EHR).
PAHT’s shortlisted entry, Alex Health Communications, was selected following a rigorous judging process and has been recognised as a standout example of excellence in healthcare delivery.
The communications and engagement campaign was crucial to successfully launching Alex Health. This project was PAHT’s largest transformation and the fastest Oracle Health Cerner Millennium EHR implementation in any UK Trust.
Thom Lafferty, chief executive at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT), said: “This recognition is well earned and reflects the creativity, commitment, and professionalism demonstrated by Jill and Becky in communications. Their contributions were instrumental in readying our teams for the Alex Health rollout and clearly conveying its benefits to both staff and patients. We take great pride in their achievements.”
The winners of the HSJ Awards will be announced at an awards ceremony in London later this year.
