At the Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust, we’re proud to be an Anchor Institution committed to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equal opportunities. We’re launching a pioneering programme to support unemployed and economically inactive individuals in West Essex into sustainable employment.
Our Anchor Work Focuses on Four Key Areas

How We Will Achieve This

Together, we match people to suitable opportunities and help them thrive in their new roles
Supporting people from our community to:

Supporting care-experienced young people with training and mentoring to enter health careers.
Partnering with schools, colleges, local authorities, and specialist centres to identify students with additional learning needs and provide access to healthcare work experience.
A collaborative initiative between The Princess Alexandra Hospital and Harlow College, offering structured transitions into employment for young people with learning disabilities or autism. These internships build confidence, develop skills, and open doors to meaningful work.
