Tell us what you think

We cannot do this alone. We need your input, your ideas and your feedback when we develop our detailed plans and designs.

The chance to play your part in building your new hospital is coming. Please get involved.

We will be delivering a wide ranging engagement plan so that our people, our patients and our communities can help us deliver a community asset we can all be proud of.

We hope that you will join in whenever you can, and help us spread the word to your friends, families, communities and colleagues so we can reach as many people as possible.

And we’re open to suggestions! If you have ideas for activities we could run or groups we could speak to please get in touch.

What have you told us so far?

We ran a number of engagement events recently that focused on your experiences when you arrive at hospital. Your comments have already fed into our design plans. Here’s what you said.

A welcome space needs good acoustics, a calm atmosphere and human contact if help is needed.

To understand that not everyone is computer savvy and you are dealing with people who are probably not feeling well and are worried and anxious and scared so human contact should be there for them.

I hope the Harlow community participate in the trust’s engagement and realise what a great job the PAHT team are doing to in planning for a new hospital.

Clearly this is not a one size fits all – the new building that to support all age groups – the area has an ageing population and people who are not financially able to buy smart phones – so a mixture of communication method is needed.

Green areas outside with seating, shelter and picnic tables for use outside. Fresh water available for visitors and patients. More staffing in main reception area to assist in directions and queries.
