Technology and digital

A centre for innovation

Our new hospital will be one of the most technologically advanced in the country.

It will offer an exceptional opportunity to deliver our models of care in new and innovative ways, which will benefit staff as well as patients.

Transforming through digital

We’re going to give our staff and patients the technology they need to transform the care they give and receive.

Patients will only need to come to hospital when necessary or by choice, using remote technology to consult and keep track of their health, and with care delivered in or closer to home.

Clinical staff will be able to rely on the most up-to-date and effective intelligence to inform clinical diagnosis, decision-making, prevention, treatment and care planning. Using machine learning, artificial intelligence and technology-driven systems and tools, the new hospital will make the latest and best information available at the touch of a button.

We’ll use the latest technologies to build a Learning Health System that will improve and inform clinical practice through continuous learning and access to up-the-minute data.

Create a patient-centric and data driven learning health system to continually improve outcomes

Use smart devices, robotics, connected systems for automatic technology-enabled care

Establish multi-channel contact so patients and staff can use what works for them, giving them more time for recovery and care

Move completely to digital, going 100% paperless

Use flexible, scalable and secure technology for on demand cloud computing, and rapid adoption of new technologies

Access to your medical records electronically

Virtual consultations

Using data to transform services

Self check-in on arrival

Integrated bedside technology

Wearable remote monitoring devices

It will be amazing to work in the new hospital with modern technology providing the best care.
