We have launched a microsite as a hub of information about our progress towards a new hospital.
The microsite, part of the PAHT website, is the place to go to find out all about the new state-of-the-art hospital for Harlow. The microsite will continue to be populated with up-to-date information as we move along the timeline to build a fantastic new hospital by the end of 2025.
We are calling on patients, visitors, the public, staff and stakeholders to get involved in shaping the development of a new hospital that provides outstanding healthcare and a welcoming environment for people to work in.
Through the microsite, all are asked to share their views. This is part of the new hospital engagement programme, which features a series of virtual focus groups, stakeholder interviews and a survey inviting people to be part of the journey towards a hospital that is fit for the future. Initially, we are seeking the views of patients and local people about the design of the hospital.
The next key milestones in the process that our teams at PAHT continue to develop plans for are the outline business case (OBC), to be complete by March 2021 and the full business case (FBC) by June 2022.
Lance McCarthy, chief executive of The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust, said: “We are pleased to have launched our new microsite to provide our patients, visitors, people, public and stakeholders with a fantastic hub of up-to-date information about this exciting project.
“We hope that many of you will access this resource regularly, contributing to our polls and surveys, so that we can ensure we have the broadest range of engagement with our community.
“The discussions that have come out of the focus groups and the feedback from the surveys we have received so far have been really positive, with some great thoughts and ideas shared. Please continue to get in touch with us.
“We are on an amazing journey to transform healthcare for the population we serve. We will need your ideas, suggestions and involvement at every stage to ensure that the new hospital will be an outstanding place to receive care and a fabulous place to work too.”
