We diagnose and treat problems with the kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate and reproductive organs.
We investigate and treat:

- female urinary symptoms and incontinence;
- erectile dysfunction;
- male urinary symptoms caused by benign prostatic hyperplasia;
- scrotal swellings;
- kidney cancer;
- bladder cancer and;
- paediatric urological problems - this specialist service provides treatment for children with penile foreskin problems, undescended testes and hypospadias abnormalities.
We offer a specialist clinic for new patients providing consultation, specialised prostate MRI scans (known as a multiparametric MRI) and prostate biopsies.
We are one of a small number of urology departments in the UK providing focal therapy for prostate cancer using high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) or cryotherapy. These are the latest cutting edge, minimally invasive, innovative techniques used to treat prostate cancer.
We provide outpatient services across all three of our main hospitals in Epping, Bishop's Stortford and Harlow. All inpatient work and specialist procedures are carried out at PAH.
