Trust response to CQC report

The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAHT) has seen a number of quality improvements achieved over the past two years. The significant progress was recognised in the 2017 Care Quality Commission (CQC) report that recommended special measures were no longer necessary and our latest CQC report in July 2019 - you can read the full report here
 

We welcomed a team of 25 inspectors to the Princess Alexandra Hospital on 27-28 March (2019) for an inspection on our core services:

  • Urgent and emergency care

  • Medical care (including older people's care)

  • Surgery

  • Maternity

  • Services for children and young people

  • End of life care
     

This was followed by well-led assessment interviews with our executive team, non-executive directors and a number of senior clinical leaders and others in areas such as Freedom to Speak Up on 23 and 24 April.
