Dress down days at Goodman House, Essex County Council and Contact Essex raise money for NICU

Staff on the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit are very grateful to the employees at Goodman House, Essex County Council and Contact Essex who raised £166.63 by holding ‘pink days’ and ‘dress down days’ at their organisations.

Eve Stallman headed up the fundraising efforts in memory of her granddaughter, Ellie. Ellie was born in April 2011 at 32 weeks gestation. Sadly, Ellie died after just 19 days of life.

Eve’s good friend Wendy Clements also knitting and crocheted blankets which are going to be used in the unit.

Anjanee Jhurry, Neonatal Ward Manager at Princess Alexandra Hospital said: “We are very grateful to everyone who raises funds for out Unit. Every penny raised goes towards the purchase of additional life-saving equipment. The staff at these organisations did a fantastic job in raising so much – thank you to everyone on behalf of the hospital”
