Lance McCarthy, chief executive

Lance joined the trust as chief executive in May 2017, moving from Hinchingbrooke Hospital where he was the chief executive officer (CEO) for nearly two years. Prior to this, he was the deputy CEO at North Middlesex Hospital for more than four years.

Lance began as an economics graduate and has a wealth of experience within his NHS career, spanning over 25 years. He has worked in acute hospitals in a variety of general, performance and strategic management roles across a range of different hospitals and is a trustee for NHS providers.
