The Alexandra Day Unit (ADU) is a stand alone unit. We are a friendly & welcoming Nurse Led Unit where both adults & children undergo procedures.
The care we provide is delieverd by a multi disciplinary team of highly skilled practitioners.
Endoscopy Unit
We have two Endoscopy rooms where both elective, emergency & IP referral procedures are carried out by a Consultant Gastroenterologists & Bronchoscopists
Surgery
- Three anaesthetic rooms for general anaesthetic procedures;
- Four theatres - all surgical specialities are carried out including orthopaedics by Consultant Surgeons Consultant Anaesthetists & their teams.
Laparoscopy
Laparoscopic procedures are carried out in general surgery for cholecystectomy, hernia repair & appendicectomy & in Gynaecology for sterilisation & for diagnostic purposes.
