We believe in women centred care. The process of labour and delivery is unique to every family and affects all members of the family.
The labour ward provides a 24 hour service to approximately 3000 women each year. The majority of whom are from within West Essex.
The ward is staffed by specialist midwives who all have many years of experience. The paediatric medical team also have close links with the Labour ward for Neonatal intensive care referrals and care of the newborn at birth.
The maternity theatre is covered by the anaesthestist and operating department assisant on call for maternity.
