Patient Line 

Bedside audio-visual equipment has been installed within the Trust by a company called Hospedia. This facility offers access to radio, television, telephone, the internet and games.

Patients are required to register via a vending machine at the entrance to the ward and purchase a prepaid card that allows you to use the service at your bed.

You can purchase cards by credit or debit card or by telephoning the call centre 0845 414 1234. NB Games and the internet are free once you have activated your card.

Services and Charges Telephone

With a telephone right at your bedside it's easy to keep in touch. Calls from the bedside cost 10p a minute to a landline (minimum call charge 10p).

Calls to the bedside cost 39p per minute off-peak and 49p at all other times (off peak rates are 6pm - 8am Mon to Fri and all weekends, peak rates apply at all other times).

Please note call charges to or from international destinations, mobiles and other networks may vary.

Television

With a choice of entertaining TV channels you won't miss watching any of your favourite programmes. 1 day of TV (24 continuous hours) will cost £2.90, which includes free internet and games.

Television and games are free for children on the children's wards from 7 am - 7 pm.

Radio

Listen to a choice of national and local radio stations - all for free!

Games

Challenge yourself with our great range of games included in the television package. On Children's wards games are available for adults for £1 per two hours.

Internet and email

Surf the net or send and receive emails - included in the television package.

Headphones

Please note that patients are required to use headphones after 9 pm.  You can obtain these for free from security (24 hours per day), the hospital shop (8am - 8pm) or by pressing the operator button on your handset.  Alternatively, patients can bring their own headphones.
