The infection control team provides expert advice on all aspects of infection control and prevention.
This includes environmental and personal hygiene, decontamination, outbreak management, isolation and building requirements.
We are committed to improving certain clinical indicators such as Clostridium difficile rates every year.
The team is lead by the Consultant Microbiologist who is also the Director of Infection Prevention and Control.
She is supported by three nurses and Biomedical Scientists and clerical staff. The executive team lead for infection control is the Chief Operating Nursing Officer.
