Patient Advice and Liaison Service

Here To Help... Here To Make A Difference

Being in hospital or caring for someone who is having treatment can be stressful at the best of times.

The PALS service is available to help you with any difficulties or concerns you may have.

PALS can speak on your behalf to anyone involved in your care, or the care of your relative or friend. If issues cannot be resolved, and you wish to make a formal complaint, PALS will explain the procedure and assist you if necessary.

PALS will not speak to anyone about your concerns unless they have your permission to do so. All discussions will be held in strict confidence.

PALS will:

  • Listen to your concerns or comments.
  • Follow up issues and check that you are happy with the outcome.
  • Offer advice and information regarding NHS services.
  • Put you in touch with other local agencies that might be able to help, for example voluntary or social care services.

The PALS service is available from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

You can contact the PALS team in the following ways:

Telephone: 01279 827211
Fax: 01279 827212
Email: pals@pah.nhs.uk
Location: PALS, Main reception of the hospital, Hamstel Road, Harlow, Essex, CM20 1QX
