Thank you for expressing an interest in The Princess Alexandra Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit fundraising appeal.
The Trust is delighted to announce that the redeveloped Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is now operational. It is a specialist unit for sick and premature babies. This was required because given the numbers of patients that the staff care for (approximately 350 per year) along with the need for specialist equipment the existing space was too small.
The new unit means that babies and their parents are cared for in a 21st century facility. Every event or donation, no matter how big or small, has helped us to achieve our target.
