Andrew Holden, non-executive director

Andrew Holden has more than 35 years' experience in the financial sector, both public and private. He has been a board member for the last 20 years in the NHS and the commercial sector, with a strong track record of contributing on all aspects of financial performance and strategy.


Andrew is a qualified accountant with The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and has been a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) for the last 12 years. Andrew chaired the London branch for more than nine years and recently stepped down from this post


Andrew spent 13 years as a financial director at Barts Health NHS Trust, where he successfully managed an annual revenue budget of £750m and a team of 250. During his time at St Mary's NHS Trust, he was instrumental in turning the trust's finances around from a deficit of £12m to a recurrent breakeven or surplus.


Andrew is the group health care director of a private company, where he supports NHS clients as well as contributing to strategy and implementation.


Andrew is vice chair of the board, chairs the performance and finance committee, and is a member of the audit committee
